Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: New York, NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient/office setting, ensuring efficient patient care, accurate documentation, and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
Perform vitals, venipuncture, EKGs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing
Prepare patients and exam rooms; assist providers during procedures
Support patient mobility and communicate care instructions
Maintain logs, supplies, equipment, and a clean, compliant work environment
Manage EMR documentation, orders, prescription refills, scheduling, referrals, and insurance verification
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
Medical Assistant Certificate
BLS (AHA) required
Preferred
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
EMR experience
