You start your day walking the production floor, listening for anything out of place: a door that needs adjusting, a motor running hot, a filter ready for a change. A quick call comes in from the Shop Manager—there’s a plumbing issue by the docks. You diagnose it fast, get it fixed, log the work, and move on to a preventive maintenance check on a rooftop HVAC unit. By afternoon, you’re coordinating a specialty vendor for an electrical repair while keeping tools and the maintenance area organized. Throughout the day, you’re the steady hand that keeps building systems safe, reliable, and compliant so production never skips a beat.

Location, Pay, and Schedule

• Location: Marietta
• Pay: $21/hour
• Hours: Weekday schedule ranging from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; final schedule assigned by the Shop Manager

What You’ll Take On

• Perform routine and corrective building maintenance: minor electrical troubleshooting, plumbing fixes, HVAC filter changes, general carpentry, and door/dock adjustments
• Support building systems essential to manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial setting
• Execute preventive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure
• Respond quickly to requests to reduce production downtime
• Conduct regular facility, equipment, and safety inspections
• Coordinate third-party vendors for specialized repairs
• Keep maintenance spaces, tools, and equipment clean and orderly
• Adhere to OSHA, NFPA, and internal safety standards at all times
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by the manager, which may include maintenance of production machinery

What Helps You Succeed

• 1–3 years of building or facility maintenance experience; manufacturing or industrial environment preferred (strong apartment maintenance backgrounds translate well)
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Comfort using hand and power tools safely
• Sharp troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Self-discipline and initiative to work independently and manage priorities
• Valid driver’s license

Physical Demands and Environment

• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and lifting
• Regular exposure to noisy, dusty, hot, cold, or outdoor conditions
• Able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more and perform physical work in a production environment
