Shift: 3rd Shift
Hours: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Training: Approximately 4 weeks on 1st shift
Regular schedule:
- Week 1: 4 days on / 2 days off (48 hours)
- Week 2: 3 days on / 4 days off (36 hours)
- Overtime is usually offered
Pay: Starting at $25.97 TO $31.38 , depending on experience (DOE)
Experience Required:
Minimum 1+ year of relevant electrical maintenance experience
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all prescribed safety procedures and protocols.
- Perform detailed shift handoffs with the previous shift’s Electrician and review work orders to prioritize tasks.
- Carry and respond to the plant radio and Electrician smartphone at all times. All tasks require a submitted work order.
- Regularly check the work order system throughout the shift.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Respond to submitted work orders.
- Inspect ground indicators on switchgears No. 1, 2, and 3.
- Tag failed motors and electronics with relevant info; place in designated repair area.
- Perform routine checks (compressed air dryers, boilers, motors).
- Order replacement parts as necessary.
- Repair/change ballast and lamp holders on fixtures.
- Monitor and record motor amperage as needed.
- Inspect all outside lighting.
- Clean and maintain the switchgear room.
As-Needed Responsibilities:
- Install additional switches and circuits as approved by the Engineering Services Manager (ESM).
- Address lighting-related work orders.
- Assist in inspecting fire protection systems.
- Check grounding on motors.
- Clean equipment and panels as assigned.
- Perform other duties as directed by the ESM or Engineering Services Engineer.
- Qualified technicians may also be assigned environmental duties based on training and skill level.
