Operating Room Nurse,

This role is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The nurse will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, perform patient assessments, administer medications, and participate in treatment planning. A minimum of two years of experience in a similar setting is required.

Responsibilities:

- Providing skilled nursing care during surgical procedures.
- Performing patient assessments and monitoring vital signs.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team.
- Maintaining a sterile surgical field and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Preparing and stocking surgical equipment and supplies.
- Documenting patient care accurately and completely.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Minimum of two years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in Cerner 12 OR suite.
- Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.

Special Considerations:

- The work schedule is 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM for 16 weeks.
- The position is located in a 672A Surgery - 3rd Fl Operating Room.
- The facility provides care to patients undergoing GYN, General, ENT, Ophthalmic, Plastics, and Robotic cases.

Scheduling:
- 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, 16-week assignment.
