A Per Diem School-Based Paraprofessional position is available in Chickamauga, GA, offering flexible opportunities to support students academic, behavioral, and social development within a school environment. This role supports individualized growth by working closely with students under the guidance of certified teachers and behavioral specialists.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social support aligned with teacher instructions
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
• Implement behavior support plans and adhere to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide mobility assistance, supervision, and personal care as needed
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Compliance with TB testing requirements as dictated by district policies
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Certifications or experience in CPI, PMT, or as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) considered a plus
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative work style
