Job Details:
We are seeking a highly organized and process-driven VP of Operations to oversee multiple commercial roofing projects at different stages. The ideal candidate has experience working for a specialty subcontractor and managing multiple construction projects, including budgeting, manpower allocation, and process improvement.
Commercial roofing experience is NOT required , but candidates must have experience in subcontractor management within the commercial construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a portfolio of active commercial construction projects at various stages.
- Manage and lead the operations team, including supervision and scheduling of Project Managers and Superintendents.
- Ensure efficiency in job costing, including material orders, equipment management, and subcontractor purchase orders.
- Conduct monthly job reporting and bi-weekly job site inspections to ensure quality control.
- Implement structured processes and accountability measures to improve operational efficiency.
- Drive financial performance, ensuring projects meet budget and profitability targets.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of commercial construction experience.
- 5+ years in a Senior Project Manager or Operations Manager role
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a subcontractor environment.
- Strong understanding of job costing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Process-oriented mindset with a focus on structure and accountability.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to coordinate across teams and departments.
