Assistant Project Manager (Dalton)

TRC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for one of our Data Center Solutions clients on an onsite project based out of Dalton, GA.

The Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of data center construction projects, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, safety, and quality standards. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in mission-critical construction and grow into a future Project Manager role.
As the company continues expanding its general contracting operations across 24 states (and growing), we are seeking motivated, detail-oriented professionals who want to develop their leadership skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in coordinating all phases of design, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Support project documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Help track project progress, manage change orders, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes, action items, and progress updates.
• Partner with power and fiber utility providers to support infrastructure readiness.
• Assist with client communication, ensuring professional and timely responses.
• Contribute to project closeout, punch list tracking, and handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting data center or mission-critical construction preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, and CAD/Visio.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Energetic, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
