Diesel Mechanic - $5000 Sign-On Bonus

Dart Transit Company has an immediate opportunity for a Tractor Technician at our Ellenwood, GA location.

Shift - Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm and every 3rd Saturday 7am - 1pm
Sign - On Bonus: $5000 - 50% paid out after 90 days; 50% paid out after 180 days

Responsibilities will include:

• Perform diagnosis, repair and maintenance of fleet including electrical and brakes
• Preventative maintenance including oil change, brakes, lights, filters, tire pressure and tread depth, etc.
• Knowledge of repairs with Detroit Diesel, Cummins, and Mercedes Engines.
• Document work order details within the Company's internal order and billing program
• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Use effective interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
• Good mechanical aptitude and work ethic needed
• Contribute to the goals of the shop, leadership team and company
• Be a positive role model for all team members

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• 2-5 years of mechanic experience on heavy-duty trucks
• Must have a Valid Driver's License
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

• Regularly required to use hands to handle materials, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
• Regularly lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
