Document Controller (Signaling) - Atlanta, GA
HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT
As a Document Controller (Signaling) , you will be responsible for managing and maintaining project documentation and information systems across signaling rail projects. This role ensures that all technical and administrative documents are properly stored, version-controlled, and distributed to relevant stakeholders in compliance with project standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Activities• Set up and maintain document control systems (e.g., ProjectWise, Aconex, eB).
• Register, track, and archive technical documents including drawings, specifications, and signaling schematics.
• Ensure version control and proper labeling of all documents.
• Monitor submission deadlines and ensure timely distribution of documentation.
• Review documents for accuracy, formatting, and compliance with project standards.
• Support audits and ensure documentation meets regulatory and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive project information.
• Assist project teams with document preparation and submission packs.
• Liaise with internal departments, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth document flow.
• Provide training and support on document control procedures and systems.
• Generate reports on document status, outstanding submissions, and compliance metrics.
• Coordinate transmittals and incoming documentation from external parties.
• Support the development of standardized document control processes across projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED• 8+ years of experience in document control, ideally within rail or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with signaling systems and terminology is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document control platforms (e.g., ProjectWise, Aconex).
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
