Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A per diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available in a school setting near Rossville, GA. This role is well-suited for skilled LPNs dedicated to supporting students academic, behavioral, and social development through personalized attention and teamwork within the educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social support, collaborating closely with teachers
- Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and participation
- Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support student mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as necessary
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning space
Qualifications:
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for Alabama (AL)
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Compliance with TB testing in accordance with district policies
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when required
- Current clearances or readiness to obtain necessary clearances before starting
Preferred Experience:
- Background working in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Experience assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Certification or experience in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Preventive Management Training), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is advantageous
- Reliable, patient, and cooperative approach to team-based work
