Job Summary

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, shape, and form metal components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend metal parts according to blueprints and work orders
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Select appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances
• Measure materials using calipers, gauges, and other precision tools
• Adjust machine settings to correct defects or inconsistencies
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality control personnel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience operating press brake machines (preferred: 1–3+ years)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills
• Familiarity with metal fabrication processes
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
