About the Role:
The Shift Leader at Jamba Juice plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations while delivering exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for supervising team members during shifts, managing workflow, and maintaining high standards of product quality and store cleanliness. The Shift Leader acts as a liaison between store management and crew, facilitating communication and supporting staff development. They are also tasked with handling customer concerns promptly and professionally to uphold the brand’s reputation. Ultimately, the Shift Leader ensures that each shift runs effectively, contributing to a positive work environment and an outstanding customer experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role.
- Basic knowledge of cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable and customer-focused
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a retail or food service environment.
- Familiarity with Jamba Juice products and brand values.
- Certification in food safety or related training.
- Experience with inventory management and scheduling software.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the team during assigned shifts to achieve operational goals and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
- Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards to provide a safe environment for both customers and employees.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to enhance team performance and product knowledge.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor product quality and presentation to maintain Jamba Juice’s brand standards.
- Assist management with scheduling, reporting, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Skills:
The Shift Leader utilizes strong communication skills daily to effectively coordinate with team members and ensure clear understanding of tasks and expectations. Leadership and motivational skills are essential to inspire the crew and maintain high morale during busy shifts. Problem-solving abilities are frequently applied to address operational challenges and customer concerns swiftly and efficiently. Organizational skills are critical for managing multiple responsibilities such as inventory tracking, cash handling, and shift scheduling. Additionally, knowledge of food safety and quality standards is applied consistently to uphold the brand’s commitment to excellence.
Physical Requirements
This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift. Tasks may involve unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, moving equipment, and other labor-intensive duties in a fast-paced environment.
