Job Description

Join a growing non-destructive testing team as an Ultrasonic Testing Technician Level I / II, working in a shop environment that supports a variety of industries, including aerospace and FAA-regulated work. You will perform ultrasonic inspections to ensure product quality, support manufacturing and production processes, and contribute to continuous improvement in a facility that offers strong potential for long-term career advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasonic testing (UT) inspections in accordance with NAS410 and applicable procedures for a variety of components and materials.
  • Support manufacturing, testing, and production operations by conducting timely and accurate non-destructive examinations.
  • Interpret and evaluate ultrasonic test results to identify indications, defects, and nonconformances, and document findings clearly and accurately.
  • Follow established quality and inspection procedures to ensure compliance with aerospace and FAA-related requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation in line with internal quality assurance standards.
  • Use computer systems and software to enter, retrieve, and manage inspection data and production information.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to address inspection findings and support corrective actions.
  • Set up, calibrate, and verify ultrasonic testing equipment as required by procedures and standards.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and shop-floor procedures while working in a mixed climate-controlled environment.
  • Work reliably on third shift overnight, supporting continuous operations across three shifts.

Essential Skills

  • Ultrasonic Testing Level I certification.
  • Ultrasonic Testing Level II certification.
  • Compliance with NAS410 requirements for ultrasonic testing.
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience in non-destructive testing (NDT) at Level I or Level II.
  • Proficiency in inspection and quality assurance activities within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, documentation, and report generation.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and quality standards in aerospace and FAA-related work.
  • Willingness and ability to work third shift overnight.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in aerospace, FAA-regulated, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Background in manufacturing, testing, production, or quality inspection.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical information and specifications.
  • Capability to work effectively as part of a growing team in an expanding facility.
  • Comfort working in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled areas of a shop environment.

Work Environment

The role is based in a shop environment that supports multiple industries, including aerospace and FAA-related work. The facility is partially climate controlled, with approximately half of the workspace climate controlled and half not, reflecting an expanding operation. The organization runs three shifts, and this position is assigned to third shift overnight. You will work with ultrasonic testing equipment, standard inspection tools, and computer systems to support manufacturing, testing, production, and quality activities in a structured, industrial setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
