Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with ability to work additional hours as needed.

Location: 801 John Barrow Rd, Little Rock, AR or any Arvest location within the Arvest 4 state footprint.

Summary:

SUMMARY: Under the supervision and guidance of the Mortgage Servicing Escrow Supervisor, the Mortgage Servicing Escrow Insurance Specialist processes escrow insurance for the bank group's mortgage servicing department. The incumbent

will prepare, process, and follow-up on the department's assigned escrow insurance needs regarding Hazard Insurance, Flood Insurance, PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance), MIP (Mortgage Insurance Premium), Lender Placed Insurance and Optional Insurances. In addition, the Mortgage Servicing Escrow Insurance Specialist must understand complex escrow accounts with the ability to effectively explain the details to customers, bank associates and third parties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Send and receive EDI (electronic data interchange) files from outside vendor(s); maintain data integrity and clear any file exceptions.Process EDI insurance payments timely and accurately.
  • Process all monthly mortgage insurance premiums and remit to all PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance) companies.
  • Process monthly MIP (Mortgage Insurance Premiums) and remit to FHA.
  • Process and monitor all PMI/FHA cancellation requests and requirements.
  • Maintain an understanding of complex escrow accounts to effectively explain account details.
  • Perform research and follow-up on outstanding problems.Assist customers concerning problems/inquiries on loans in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Serve as a liaison with outside insurance vendors to ensure adequate lender placed insurance coverage is applied, and lender placed insurance is cancelled and refunds are processed within the regulatory timelines.
  • In coordinated efforts, work with the flood mapping vendor to track and work with customers to secure required flood insurance per state, federal and investor guidelines.
  • Ensure assigned escrow department duties are completed according to department policies and procedures, federal and state regulations, and investor guidelines.
  • Process all optional life insurance premiums and remit to optional life insurance companies.
  • Work collaboratively toward KPI's (key performance indicators).
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes, but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • 1 year of mortgage, banking, insurance processing or payment processing experience required.
  • 6 months customer service experience required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word preferred.
