Summary:
The Junior Engineering Technician is an entry-level, hands-on position designed for a recent engineering graduate interested in gaining real-world experience in a manufacturing environment. This role offers exposure to various functions, including engineering processes, quality systems, and operations. The technician will closely shadow the engineering team, contribute to process documentation and improvement efforts, and support quality assurance activities in a learning-focused environment.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

Engineering and Process Support:
· Shadow engineers and technicians to learn about manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflow design.
· Assist in creating and maintaining work instructions, process flows, and production documentation.
· Observe and document CNC operations, with opportunities to learn about tooling, programming basics, and run parameters under supervision.
· Collect and organize data to support process improvement and troubleshooting efforts.
Quality Assurance Support:
· Learn and support basic inspection processes using tools such as calipers and micrometers.
· Help organize and maintain quality documentation and procedural records.
· Assist in data collection and documentation during quality issue investigations.
Operations Support:
· Provide hands-on support under guidance, such as documenting issues, organizing work areas, or shadowing maintenance routines.
· Participate in 5S, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Help track tools, materials, and production metrics as needed.

This position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities but requires frequent collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors to achieve departmental objectives.

Education and/or Experience
· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar field).
· Some exposure to manufacturing processes through coursework or internships is preferred but not required.
Language Skills
· Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as safety rules, operating manuals, and procedure guides.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Mathematical Skills
· Basic mathematical skills, including unit conversions, measurement, and simple data analysis.
· Familiarity with engineering measurements such as tolerances and dimensions.
Reasoning Ability
· Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply logical thinking to solve basic technical problems.
· Capable of observing processes, collecting relevant data, and reporting findings clearly.
