Requirements:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assistant Construction Superintendent to manage relationships between RPI and contractors.
• Supervises work schedules and assignments for contractors.
• Communicates and enforces safety procedures and site rules and addresses any safety violations or other deficiencies.
• Assist Commercial Project Supervisor to develop a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of an assigned project.
• Assistant Construction Superintendent ensures all materials, supplies, and other needs of project are procured, delivered, and secured at jobsite.
• Leads the coordination and scheduling of work activities of contractors, communicating instructions and project assignments as appropriate.
• Supervises work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to Director of Projects; makes recommendations for necessary modifications.
• Collaborates through Commercial Projects Supervisor with pertinent stakeholders to ensure specifications, zoning requirements, and other regulations are met. Leads the supervision of project to ensure plans are followed.
• Monitors budget throughout the project and communicates variances as they occur.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications of Assistant Construction Superintendent:

• 2 years construction experience requried
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
• Extremely detail oriented with the ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and plans.
• Understanding of quality building practices.
• Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
• Ability to utilize IT system
• Experience with CompanyCam is a plus.

License/Certification:

• Driver's License with good driving record (Required)
• OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be comfortable on roofs and ladders.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
