Introduction

Technology sales at IBM is evolving its way of working to break beyond boundaries with innovative

approaches. Preferring to ‘show’ vs. ‘tell’, Client Engineering co-creates with clients, in real-time, on solutions

to solve their hardest business challenges.

As an AI Engineer within our Client Engineering team, you'll harness your unique skills and perspectives to

engage in the development and deployment of AI systems using our watsonx platform for pilots that lead to

deployment of enterprise-scale solutions at start-up speed.

In a world where technology moves at speed, it's essential that we stay ahead of the curve to provide tailored

solutions that meet our clients' needs. It's not enough for us to have the technical expertise. We need to be

great with people, too. To empathize. To understand. To collaborate on technical solutions that will improve

lives all over the world.

Excellent onboarding training will set you up for success, whilst ongoing development will continue to advance

your career through its upward trajectory. Our sales environment is fast-paced and supportive. Always part of

a team, you'll be surrounded by leaders and colleagues who are always willing to help and be helped - as you

support pilots that compel clients to invest in IBM's products and services.

solutions, including foundation models and large language models. Identify opportunities to enhance

efficiency, accuracy, and speed through fine-tuning, algorithmic improvements, or infrastructure

optimization to meet performance requirements.

  • Collaboration and Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI

engineers, platforms engineers, and members of the sales team, to ensure smooth execution and

successful delivery of AI solutions. Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies

to stakeholders.

  • Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in AI,

foundation models, and large language models. Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and

frameworks to assess their potential impact on solution design and implementation.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need

  • Confidence to contact and engage potential new customers and deliver an elevated experience.
