VP of Culinary

 Salary: $170,000 - $190,000

Other Forms of Compensation: Bonus + Car allowance

Key Responsibilities:

• Partners with purchasing and supply chain to facilitate ingredient selection, maintenance of managed order guides and supplier optimization
• Supports business development process in collaboration with sector specific partners
• Experiences design, development and maintenance of standardized recipes for various applications
• Serves as the primary culinary subject matter expert within company and communicates and educates on the latest trends within the industry
• Develops a long-term culinary strategy that balances consumer expectations with corporate financial goals/budgets
• Maintains strategic accountability for overall menu/product offerings including food cost controls, core recipe standardization, portion standards, inventory management, prep standards, and waste/cost control programs
• Travel up to 75%
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Culinary Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 7+ years of culinary management experience
• Project management skills
• Multi- unit management experience in multiple states
• Ability to generate revenue by building top line driven initiatives, understanding the importance of middle and bottom line tactics
• Strong strategic and analytic thinking
• A proven track record in managing and leading an R&D team and/or menu innovation process - a plus
• Prefer Experience in healthcare and/or senior living. Has experience in both restaurant/casual dining environments and contract food service, with proven success in scaling growth and thriving in a company of diverse market segments

Job Summary

This position could be based at several areas of the country; Nashvillle, Chicago, Austin. Must live near a national airport.
