Job Summary

Our client is seeking an SQL Reporting Specialist to design and develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using SQL, SSRS, and Power BI while ensuring accuracy, performance, and data integrity. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, optimize queries, support ad-hoc reporting needs, and maintain documentation for reporting processes.

Job Description

• Report Development: Design, develop, and implement reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using SQL queries and reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or Crystal Reports.
• Data Extraction and Analysis: Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various database sources for reporting purposes.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders and internal teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Data Accuracy and Validation: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data within reports through data validation, cleaning, and quality checks.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize SQL queries and reporting solutions for performance and efficiency, identifying and resolving any issues related to query execution or report generation.
• Documentation and Maintenance: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for reports, data sources, and reporting processes.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide support for existing reports, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and resolve any issues that arise.
• Ad-hoc Reporting: Respond to requests for ad-hoc reports and data extracts to support specific business needs.

Skills Required

• SQL reporting experience utilizing SSRS and Power BI

Education/Training/Certifications

• Highschool diploma or GED.

Pay Rate/Salary

• Base Compensation: $40/hour - $45/hour (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.)
