Registered Respiratory Therapist Nights

Memorial Health, a leading healthcare provider in Savannah, Georgia, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for night shift to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including acutely and critically ill adults and, as assigned, pediatric patients. Working within a collaborative, patient-centered environment, you will perform respiratory assessments, implement individualized treatment plans, and monitor patient responses throughout the night.
The Registered Respiratory Therapist Nights will be responsible for initiating, managing, and weaning patients from mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation, following physician orders and established hospital protocols. You will administer aerosolized medications and other respiratory therapies, titrate oxygen, perform bedside respiratory tests, and obtain and assist in interpretation of arterial blood gases within your scope of practice. As a core member of the night shift clinical team, you will respond rapidly to respiratory emergencies, including codes and rapid response calls, ensuring effective airway management and ventilatory support.
You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, communicate changes in patient status, and contribute to interdisciplinary care plans. Accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record, adherence to infection control and safety standards, and diligent maintenance and troubleshooting of respiratory equipment are essential aspects of this role. You will also provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, therapies, and equipment use to support safe transitions of care.
