Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a local client in Woodstock, GA. Candidates who have a background working as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Set up packaging and filling equipment by adjusting to product specifications.
• Identify and promptly correct problems on the filling line to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs to maintain production efficiency.
• Complete preventative maintenance requirements and address potential breakdowns to ensure equipment reliability.
• Identify and address continual or persistent problems on the filling equipment.
• Maintain daily downtime sheets and submit them to the Plant Manager at the end of each shift. Document these issues on the downtime log.
• Routinely maintain PM Logs and submit them to the Plant Manager on a weekly basis.
• Always prioritize and maintain a safe work environment.
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as required by Management.

Requirements:

• Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and pressurized manufacturing equipment.
• Prior experience in troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC programs and a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and machine shop equipment.
• Experience with MBC Filling and gassing is a significant advantage.
• Mechanic experience, especially in a manufacturing setting.
• Excellent knowledge of tools and their use.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production demands.
• Physical ability to lift 50lbs or more.
• Willingness to receive hands-on training.
• Must have your own tools.
• Must wear safety equipment as instructed on the SDS (Safety Data Sheet)
• HVAC or other mechanical certifications are a plus.
• Welding experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to a manufacturing environment, including aerosol and chemical materials
• Requirement to lift heavy objects weighing 50lbs and more
