Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, including orthopedic cases, in a 32-bed unit
- Perform focused assessments, administer medications and treatment per orders, monitor patient status, and respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and implement care, coordinate postoperative care and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record; uphold privacy, safety, and infection control standards
- Provide patient and family education; assist with mobility, wound care, and rehabilitation activities as appropriate

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience in a hospital setting
- AHA BLS and NIH Certification required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in an inpatient surgical unit with orthopedic patients
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment location
- Willingness to complete credentialing and travel requirements for a 13-week assignment
