Location: Augusta, Georgia
Contract Length: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 4x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Job Overview

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse for a high-acuity Emergency Department assignment. The facility is a large, busy Stroke and STEMI Certified hospital requiring strong emergency care experience and prior travel nursing background.

Compensation

• Local Pay Package: $2,600 – $2,700/week
• Traveler Pay Package: $2,800 – $2,900/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups
• Perform patient triage and emergency assessments
• Administer emergency medications and IV therapies
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies
• Manage trauma, stroke, respiratory, psychiatric, and critical care patients
• Maintain accurate charting in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Schedule & Unit Details

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 4x12 Schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• 74-bed Emergency Department
• Average Daily Census: 165–175 patients
• Orientation: 24 Hours

Requirements

Required:

• Active GA or Compact RN License
• Minimum 2 years recent ER experience
• Previous travel nursing experience (Required – Hard Stop)
• Epic EMR experience (Required – Hard Stop)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS Certifications

Preferred:

• TNCC Certification
• SANE Certification
• Trauma Level I/II experience
• Charge Nurse experience
