Georgia Veterans State Park / Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club, located in Cordele, Georgia, is looking for an extraordinary Administrative Assistant. 1. campus is comprised of 1,308 acres of pine and hardwoods located on a beautiful 8,800-acre cypress lakefront - Lake Blackshear. Lake Blackshear Resort 10 lake cabins, a full-service fine dining restaurant and bar, catering, seasonal food and entertainment lakeside, off site fitness center, conference center, marina with boat rental, and18 hole-golf course. In addition, we offer 82 camp sites (of which many are water front), a pioneer camp area, 3 community shelters and 4 open air picnic pavilions, swimming beach, 3D archery course and a military museum and static military displays of planes, cannons and tanks.

Position Overview:
The Engineering Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting daily operations within the engineering and maintenance department. This individual will assist with scheduling, inventory tracking, documentation, and communication to help ensure the department runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with scheduling maintenance and repair work orders
• Maintain and update maintenance records, logs, and reports
• Track inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
• Support communication between the engineering team and other departments
• Order supplies and materials as directed
• Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
• Assist with compliance documentation and reporting

Qualifications:

• Previous administrative or clerical experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• High school diploma or equivalent required
