Our client in the Atlanta metro area is hiring for a Real Estate Accountant. This in-office position offers a collaborative work environment with locations in Alpharetta and Buckhead. The role focuses on overseeing financial activities for multiple affordable multi-family housing investments, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to asset managers. Candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with leadership, third-party managers, and financial partners in a growing and impactful sector.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze monthly third-party property financials for accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Approve and track fund payments, mortgage payments, and Housing Assistance Payments.
• Provide guidance to asset managers on financial trends, health, and audit outcomes.
• Assist with audits, respond to financial inquiries, and support various projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and knowledge of GAAP.2+ years of audit and/or accounting experience; CPA preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Yardi experience a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy, strong communication skills, and adaptability.
