RN – Cardiac Stepdown Unit (Travel Assignment)
Location: Albany, GA

• Contract: Travel RN
• Unit: Cardiology Stepdown (4A/4B)
• Shift: 6:45 AM / 6:45 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Beds: 44 beds
• Ratios: 1:4 RN-to-patient ratio
• Nurse Aides: 1:10
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years Stepdown experience in acute care (required)
• EMR: Meditech 6.1
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• Telemetry: Phillips – must read and interpret strips

Certifications:

• BLS Required
• ACLS Required
• NIHSS Preferred

Patient Population:

• CABG, cardiovascular surgeries, CHF, AFib with RVR
• Pacemakers, AICD, ablations, stents
• Chest tubes, vascular procedures, EVARs, AAA repairs

Skills Required:

• Cardiac monitoring
• Drip management (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, Dobutamine, Dopamine, etc.)
• BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen, Vapotherm

Floating:

• May float to ICU for Stepdown-level patients. ICU experience preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Strict 75-mile radius rule (must be 75 miles from facility based on driver's license address).
• Driver's license copy required with submission.
• Must be flexible for holidays.
• Natural hair color, no fake nails/shellac, no facial piercings, and no visible tattoos.
