Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse for a travel assignment at Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

This role supports a specialized cardiovascular ICU managing high-acuity cardiac patients requiring advanced monitoring and device management.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for experienced CVICU nurses who are comfortable managing critically ill cardiac patients and advanced circulatory support devices in a high-acuity ICU environment.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• 12-week contract
• Night shift 3x12s
• 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within ICU scope
• No call required

COMPENSATION

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage CVICU patients including post-cardiac surgery and critical cardiac conditions
• Monitor and manage advanced cardiac devices including LVAD, IABP, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Titrate vasoactive drips and sedation
• Provide ventilator management and respiratory support
• Manage CRRT and complex hemodynamic monitoring
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and ICU care planning
• Document care in Epic EMR

UNIT OVERVIEW
• 10-bed CVICU unit

• Adult cardiac patient population
• High-acuity diagnoses including cardiogenic shock, STEMI/NSTEMI, heart failure, and AAA
• Advanced equipment including LVADs, balloon pumps, CRRT, and temporary pacemakers :contentReference[oaicite:1]index=1
• Multidisciplinary ICU support team
Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years CVICU RN experience required :contentReference[oaicite:2]index=2
• BLS and ACLS required :contentReference[oaicite:3]index=3
• Experience with advanced cardiac devices (LVAD, IABP, Swan-Ganz) required
• Experience with ventilators, CRRT, and vasoactive drips required
• Ability to manage high-acuity cardiac ICU patients required
• GA or Compact RN license required at submission :contentReference[oaicite:4]index=4
• Must be willing to float within ICU scope
• RTO must be submitted at time of submission (max 7 days) :contentReference[oaicite:5]index=5
• Must comply with holiday scheduling requirements
