CNC/Manual Machinist

work hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PM
education: High School Responsibilities Core Responsibilities
- Machining: Expertly set up and operate manual and CNC mills/lathes for custom, small-batch, and prototype production.
- Advanced Programming: Program, edit, and optimize machine paths using both G-code and Conversational (e.g., Mazatrol, ProtoTRAK) interfaces.
- Technical Interpretation: Translate complex blueprints, electrical/mechanical schematics, and GD&T symbols into finished physical components.
- Precision Fabrication: Perform specialized welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and grinding to repair or assemble parts for industrial machinery.
- System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical malfunctions, programming logic errors, and tooling issues in real-time.
- Metrology & Inspection: Validate part integrity using precision instruments like micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to ensure tight tolerances.
- Operational Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance on shop equipment and manage material usage logs and 5S organization.
