Construction Manager

A growing builder of single-family and multi-family homes for both the build-to-rent (BTR) and owner-occupied markets in the Southeast is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects. This role is essential in ensuring that homes are built efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate, and inspect the work of subcontractors and vendors
• Hold subcontractors and vendors accountable for completing work to company standards before authorizing payment
• Oversee and manage the construction process, ensuring homes are completed by the scheduled closing date
• Maintain best construction practices across all assigned job sites
• Have in-depth knowledge of the status of each home under construction
• Identify material needs and verify deliveries to job sites
• Manage and maintain a trade database
• Recognize and address safety violations with subcontractors
• Communicate effectively with buyers and manage their expectations
• Analyze and resolve construction-related issues, keeping management informed

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of residential construction experience
• Strong knowledge of subcontractor scopes of work
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• Familiarity with raw materials, production processes, and quality control in home construction
• Valid driver's license and required insurance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a high-volume homebuilder
• Ability to recruit and manage quality subcontractors
• Spanish language skills (a plus)
• Experience with scheduling or calendar software
