Travel Registered Nurse PICU Job
- Role responsibilities: Provide expert care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU, including advanced ventilator management, invasive line care, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive medication titration, sedation and pain control, and rapid assessment of clinical changes. Deliver comprehensive, family-centered care, including education on treatment plans, discharge readiness, and ongoing support for families navigating emotional and logistical challenges. Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, social workers, physical and occupational therapy teams, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Maintain precise documentation in electronic health records, adhere to infection control protocols, and participate in ongoing rounds and handoffs to ensure continuity of care. You will also contribute to quality improvement initiatives and share knowledge with peers to elevate PICU practice.
- Professional growth: This role provides a clear pathway for specialization and advancement within pediatric critical care. You’ll have access to continuing education, certifications (such as CCRN with pediatric focus), and mentorship opportunities designed to enhance clinical skill, leadership potential, and evidence-based practice. The program supports professional development through targeted training, case reviews, and opportunities to take on charge or preceptor roles as you gain experience.
- Compensation and incentives: Weekly pay in the range of $1,472–$1,540 reflects the specialized skill set and high level of responsibility. A sign-on bonus is available to eligible candidates, acknowledging the value you bring to advanced pediatric care. Housing assistance is provided to support comfortable, convenient living arrangements while you’re on assignment, plus the potential for contract extensions to continue your professional journey with the team beyond the initial term.
- Support and stability: You’ll receive comprehensive support from a dedicated travel team, including 24/7 assistance while you’re traveling with the company. This includes scheduling flexibility, direct access to clinical specialists for real-time guidance, and a streamlined process for resolving concerns, ensuring you can focus on delivering top-tier patient care.
- Assignment details: Start date is 02/23/2026, with an assignment duration measured in weeks and scheduled rotations designed to align with unit needs and your professional goals. Hours are not guaranteed, and the plan can adapt to hospital demand, offering a dynamic, experience-rich environment that builds resilience and adaptability in critical care settings. Company Values: Our organization is committed to empowering each nurse through transparent communication, mentorship, and a clear path for career advancement. We cultivate a supportive, collaborative culture where experienced clinicians share expertise and newer nurses gain confidence. From onboarding to ongoing professional development, we prioritize work-life balance, recognition of excellence, and a environment where your contributions directly impact patient outcomes and family well-being. You’ll join a team that values integrity, compassion, and continuous improvement, with leadership that listens, supports your goals, and invests in your success. Call to Action: If you’re a dedicated PICU nurse driven to make a meaningful difference, we invite you to apply and explore a career that blends impactful clinical work with opportunities for growth across Georgia and beyond. Join a network that respects your expertise, supports your development, and celebrates your commitment to pediatric critical care. Your next chapter in Marietta—and potentially across the U.S.—awaits. Note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
