As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment, from lawnmowers and trimmers to blowers, aerators, and other specialized machinery.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular servicing, oil changes, and inspections on lawn care equipment to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on lawn mowers, blowers, trimmers, aerators, edgers, and other related equipment.
- Conduct periodic checks, replace worn-out parts, lubricate components, and adjust settings to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Track and maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies. Order replacements as necessary.
- Assist with the setup and calibration of new equipment or seasonal changes, ensuring that all machinery is ready for use when needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs for all serviced equipment, including repairs, parts replaced, and any other relevant details.
- Provide guidance and assistance to staff on the proper handling and care of equipment to prevent damage and ensure safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience (2+ years) in equipment maintenance, preferably in a landscaping or lawn care service environment.
- Familiarity with small engine repair and maintenance.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery commonly used in lawn care services.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to perform manual tasks such as bending, squatting, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Benefits
- Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.
- Company-provided uniforms and equipment.
