The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with maintaining and repairing a wide range of landscaping and lawn care equipment, ensuring that our fleet of machines is always in optimal working condition to meet the demands of our clients. As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment, from lawnmowers and trimmers to blowers, aerators, and other specialized machinery.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular servicing, oil changes, and inspections on lawn care equipment to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on lawn mowers, blowers, trimmers, aerators, edgers, and other related equipment.
- Conduct periodic checks, replace worn-out parts, lubricate components, and adjust settings to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Track and maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies. Order replacements as necessary.
- Assist with the setup and calibration of new equipment or seasonal changes, ensuring that all machinery is ready for use when needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs for all serviced equipment, including repairs, parts replaced, and any other relevant details.
- Provide guidance and assistance to staff on the proper handling and care of equipment to prevent damage and ensure safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience (2+ years) in equipment maintenance, preferably in a landscaping or lawn care service environment.
- Familiarity with small engine repair and maintenance.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery commonly used in lawn care services.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to perform manual tasks such as bending, squatting, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Benefits
- Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.
- Company-provided uniforms and equipment.
