McCall Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced 1099 Contract Inspector with potential to convert to regular full-time status after 6 months. Current work is in Newington, GA area with potential for work in other areas as well.

Job location: project locations may change and require travel

Work schedule: M-F

McCall Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time 1099 (Contract) Inspector. This position may have the opportunity to convert to a regular full-time employee with benefits after the 6-month contract period.

As a McCall-ThomasInspector, you will be joining a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to each of our clients. The responsibilities for this role include:

Patrolling and Inspection of overhead and underground fiber installations.

Inspecting and ensuring OH and UG fiber is installed according to drawings and specifications.

Ensuringall hardware is installed correctly and according to specifications.

Documenting issues and ensuring required corrections are made construction crews.

Generating red lines of changes to construction drawings.

Ensuring thatall fiber cable and fiber drop footages are correct

Ensuring that the fiber is placed in the entire circuit and thateach RTD is placed at the correct location

Completing and submitting QC spreadsheet and paperwork

Checking on construction crews to ensure they are at the correct locations

Maintaining a professional working attitude with co-workers and customers at all times and adhering to safety practices and procedures.

Additional responsibilities as directed by the Foreman/Construction Manager.

What Will You Need:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

High school diploma

Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship

Prior fiber construction or utility electrical inspection experience preferred
