Relationship Manager I Corporate Banking
RELATIONSHIP MANAGER I – Southeast Middle Market
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Develops and manages relationships with middle market corporate clients in the Food & Beverage sector, with revenues between $200 million and $2 billion and headquartered across the Southeast region. This may be accomplished through proactive calling efforts, referrals from existing customers, attendance at various F&B tradeshows and coordination with various centers of influence (law firms, accountants, etc). In partnership with the senior Southeast F&B coverage officer, this individual will help drive profitable growth of the portfolio and manage its overall risk. May also assist with various ad-hoc projects at the direction of the F&B Group Head when needed.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Identifies and develops profitable relationships with prospective and existing customers consistent with the objectives of the bank
- Proactively calls on prospective food and beverage clients in the Southeast region to assist in the business development efforts of senior F&B coverage officer(s) and the broader CNB Food and Beverage group
- Maintains an active database of prospective clients and updates internal CRM tools as appropriate
- Develops a network of Centers of Influence (CoIs) to assist in business development efforts
- Conducts client profitability analysis utilizing bank CRM tools
- Creates internal credit screening memos and external client-facing materials
- Attends and participates in prospective / existing client meetings of senior F&B coverage officer(s) as requested
- Responds timely to existing customer inquiries and requests, coordinating with the senior F&B coverage officer(s) and other bank colleagues as needed
- Assists in due diligence, KYC and client onboarding processes
- Conducts industry research and attends various industry tradeshows
- Maintains awareness of competitive products, practices, rates and changes in market conditions
- Completes all required training in a timely manner
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Relationship Manager
- Minimum 3 years of credit experience required
Additional Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Willingness to cold call on prospective clients and help the senior coverage officer(s) grow the Southeast market
- Sound credit analysis and financial modeling skills with a solid understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts
- Must be capable of working well in a collaborative team environment, coordinating well across various lines of business.
- Must also be able to work autonomously, exercising sound decision making commensurate with experience and responsibility
- Ability to multi-task multiple workstreams and, at times, work under tight timelines
- Good understanding of bank products and services applicable to target client segment
- Good knowledge of commercial credit policies and procedures, and bank operations policies and procedures

Compensation
Starting base salary: $101,231 - $172,355 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
