Role Overview
Mitsubishi Power is hiring a Quality Inspector to join our high-performance team in Savannah, GA. The Quality Inspector will set up and operate various types of computerized and state-of-the-art nondestructive test equipment determining the most effective inspection methods to be used for each specific application. Example ( Red Dye Penetrate Testing)
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
- Read, interpret and perform all operations as necessary per drawings and/or work instructions
- General knowledge of all other shop processes
- Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and does so with minimal supervision
- Perform TPMs on equipment
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection techniques
- Operate CMM using established programs
- Perform moment weigh inspections and tap testing operation
- Verify specified dimensions of parts or material
- Test product for structural defects such as leaks or internal cracks
- Perform air flow testing
Requirements
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication Skills: Able to read and understand basic instructions, write simple correspondence, and effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Math Skills: Proficient in basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of applying common sense to follow written, or diagrammed instructions and resolve routine problems involving multiple variables.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic skills in using personal computers and common software applications such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
