Assistant Equipment Technician / Mechanic

Cherokee Town & Country Club in Sandy Springs, GA, is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Assistant Equipment Technician / Mechanic to join our golf course maintenance team. Perks & Recognition – Employee events, appreciation programs, and a MARTA discount.   What You'll Do: As an Assistant Equipment Technician / Mechanic, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues in a variety of golf course maintenance equipment. Your daily tasks will include:   Inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of golf course maintenance equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on mowers, tractors, and small engines. Grind reels and bed knives; sharpen rotary blades to keep cutting equipment in top condition. Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel-powered engines. Properly recycle and dispose of fluids (oil, antifreeze, filters, etc.). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Report equipment needs and repair concerns to the Equipment Manager or Superintendents.     What We're Looking For: Experience with small engine repair (2-cycle and 4-cycle). Prior experience sharpening mower blades. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift/move heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
