Chemical Operator

Job Title: Chemical Operator 3rd shift

Pay - 24 per hour 3rd shift Mon - Friday

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Chemical Operator, where you will be integral in maintaining high standards of production and safety within our facility. You will perform essential tasks such as washing out kettles and holding tanks, recording material requirements, and ensuring that all formula batches meet required specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform kettle and holding tank washouts in compliance with departmental requirements and formulas.
• Record raw material requirements, lot/batch numbers, and consumed quantities on required paperwork and container labels.
• Submit samples of formulas and raw materials to the Quality Control department for testing and approval.
• Ensure formula batches meet required specifications by following Production Order Instructions and departmental procedures.
• Safely use tools such as pumps, hoses, transfer lines, and valves to transfer raw materials and formulas between containers.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Wear all applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to the Production Floor Employee Dress Code.
• Execute housekeeping duties in the Compounding work areas to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Replace and maintain hoses, gaskets, and connectors to ensure the safe transfer of materials.
• Assist in troubleshooting transfer pumps.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.

Essential Skills

• Attention to detail.
• Adherence to all safety procedures.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
• Experience in chemical mixing, compounding, and batch making.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Chemical experience preferred.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Emerson, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
