Field & Warehouse Supervisor
The Role
We are looking for a high-energy Field Supervisor to manage our labor crews and keep our logistics running smoothly. Think of this role like a Store Manager, but your "store" is the job site and the warehouse.
You won't be doing the manual labor; your job is to manage the people who do.
We have a central office team (Dispatch) that handles the strategy and scheduling. We need you to take that schedule and make sure the crews execute it perfectly in the field. You are the enforcer of standards, time, and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
80% Field Management (People & Standards)
- The "Jefe": You are the primary authority figure for our Spanish-speaking day laborers. You ensure they are working hard, respecting the job site, and following safety rules.
- Logistics & Transport: You are responsible for getting the crews to the site on time and getting them back safely.
- Cultural Bridge: You understand the culture and the language. You know how to motivate the team to get the best work out of them, but you also know when to be firm.
- Quality Control: You walk the site to ensure the work matches the photos/instructions sent by the office. If it’s wrong, you make the crew fix it.
20% Warehouse (Inventory & Organization)
- SOP Enforcement: Our office team has a system for where things go. You make sure the warehouse looks like a showroom—clean, tagged, and organized.
- Check-In/Check-Out: You manage the equipment. If a crew member loses a tool, you are responsible for finding out why.
- Fleet Standards: You ensure the trucks are kept clean (inside and out) and stocked according to the checklist.
Who You Are
- Culturally Fluent: You are fully bilingual (English/Spanish) and comfortable managing Hispanic labor crews. You know how to command respect in that environment.
- High Standards: You are the type of person who gets annoyed if a truck is messy or a pallet is crooked. You like order and cleanliness.
- Tech-Savvy Enough: You can communicate with our remote office team constantly via WhatsApp/Slack and upload photos/reports throughout the day.
- Thick Skinned: You are comfortable managing temporary staff and handling personnel issues (tardiness, attitude, etc.) on the spot.
Requirements
- Fluent in English and Spanish (Read/Write/Speak).
- Experience managing hourly teams (Retail, Restaurant, Staffing, or Hospitality).
- Clean Driving Record.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on project needs.
