As a Lead Security Control Assessor, you will work with a well-developed team of professionals to help ensure the security of cloud and emerging technologies in use at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Performing security control assessments for CMS IT systems
• Identifying gaps in security architecture, determining criticality of weaknesses, and providing recommendations corrective actions
• Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to develop the appropriate plan, scope, and schedule for control assessments
• Collaborating with stakeholders to modernize and automate assessment processes
• Writing and organizing thorough documentation of control assessment results
• Creating processes for improving team workflow
• Developing informational updates and action plans based on industry meetings and conference calls

What You Know

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar. 8 years additional experience can work in lieu of a degree.

What You Have to Have

• Exposure to a risk management framework such as NIST 80-53, ISO 27001, ISO 27002, HITRUST, FedRAMP, Zero Trust, etc., required - FedRAMP experience strongly preferred
• Federal Information Systems experience & knowledge of the security control assessment process (preferred)
• Experience with GRC tools (eMASS, RiskVision, ServiceNOW, Archer, CFACTS)
• Must be a US Citizen, with the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
• Some travel may be required
