Electrical Design Engineer

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer (Electrical Design) – Smyrna, GA

Salary: Based on education, field, and industry experience

The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in designing, modeling, and supporting electrical systems for commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical engineering principles, 3D modeling in Revit, SKM Power Tools studies, and proficiency with MS Office and Autodesk programs.

Job Duties will include:

• Model electrical systems and perform short circuit and coordination studies using SKM Power Tools.

• Model electrical content in 3D in Revit and plan electrical systems according to the National Electrical Code (NEC).

• Write basic macros in Excel, JavaScript, or Dynamo to improve productivity of repetitive tasks.

• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for client distribution.

• Print large-scale drawings for project managers and field support.

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams on commercial and industrial construction projects.

• Ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.

Requirements:

• 3 years of electrical engineering field and/or construction industry experience.

• Electrical Engineering degree preferred; related degrees (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Architecture) considered.

• Basic understanding of electrical principles.

• Knowledge and use of MS Windows, Office 365, Teams, and Autodesk programs (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of JavaScript, Visual Basic, or Dynamo programming is a plus but not required.
