Do You:
• Regularly think creatively to analyze and solve problems?
• Prefer working with successful business owners to address their legal concerns?
• Want to draft, revise, and review contracts and corporate agreements?
• Seek an opportunity to work hard in a business general practice law firm, but not burn out working 80-hour weeks and weekends?
• Have significant technology aptitude and appreciate being on the cutting-edge of advances in legal services?
Are You:
• Tired of the ridiculous billable hour requirement at your current firm?
• Looking for happiness and freedom in the practice of law?
• Someone who wants to improve their work-life balance?
• Looking for an opportunity that rewards good work and doesn't require you to generate new business in order to put food on your table?
If the answer to these questions is an emphatic "Yes!” and if you are a Georgia-licensed attorney with 3+ years of corporate and contracts experience, we may have the ideal position for you.
We are Lefkoff Law, LLC, and we provide holistic legal services to small businesses throughout Georgia with a specific focus on the motor vehicle industry – dealers, finance, repair, repossession, scrap, and auctions. We are an innovative provider of legal services, always trying out new ways to provide clients with an exceptional experience and never afraid to try out new software to get us there.
Our Sandy Springs-based law firm is looking for that special attorney to address the contract and corporate needs of our fantastic business clients. These clients range from mom-and-pops to international corporations, and their contract and corporate requirements vary greatly, but their desire to be "taken care of" and have a fantastic professional relationship with their attorneys is the same. That's where we thrive.
Some firms have a practice-area niche. We have an industry niche. In our niche in the motor vehicle industry, we handle many different practice areas. Clients think of us as the legal Quarterback of their team – the ball comes to us first. If that sounds exciting, you may be the right fit.
Because clients are businesses, we look at clients’ legal needs from an economic perspective, not an emotional one. If you like being a legal therapist in a divorce case, this job is not for you. If you can advise clients on the legal aspects of their matters while providing a cost-benefit analysis with that advice, we’d like to talk with you.
We are seeking a full-time associate attorney to fill a salaried position with a focus on personal growth and happiness. Your personal autonomy, freedom, and values are prioritized at our firm. As an associate attorney, you will work hand-in-hand with the firm’s founder and the entire team. This is a full-time position, which means for us, in the range of 20-30 billable hours per week in addition to administration time. Our compensation arrangement allows you to, in many cases, set your own schedule around your family.
After training, the associate attorney is expected to be a "go-getter" and reasonably independent in the performance of legal services. While we believe in and prioritize training, mentoring, and guidance, the attorney we hire needs to be able to confidently handle all aspects of client representation from the initial meeting through the final draft.
The firm thrives on its constant growth by rewarding and incentivizing client originations from our lawyers and actively supporting our lawyers' efforts to market themselves.
Our core values are: • Happiness First : What makes you happy makes us happy. We foster a working environment where everyone is smiling and looks forward to work. What we do can sometimes be emotionally taxing, but the people we work with aren’t.
• The Golden Rule is Gold : You are responsible for yourself. Honesty and integrity are our priority, and everyone at Lefkoff Law advocates for their clients with honesty and integrity. We carry our names forever and will not tarnish them. We truly care about each of the clients, and our work product reflects that.
• Technology is Our Friend: We are a Mac-based law firm and regularly find ourselves trying out new software, tinkering with our current systems, innovating, and are not afraid to learn something new or change how we do things.
We are also philanthropists. The firm makes quarterly donations on behalf of each employee to that employee’s selected non-profit charity. Causes that are important to you are important to us.
Note: this is an in-office position at our brand new (and beautiful) office located on the Glenridge Connector in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize Lawcus, Spark (email), Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and ClickUp to work on matters efficiently and promptly
• Draft, review, and revise various contracts (B2B, B2C, etc.)
• Evaluate, recommend, and produce corporate agreements for various types of legal entities
• Log updates in case management software
• Assist other firm attorneys as needed in other matters as a quintessential "team player"
• Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determining the best course of action
• Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in a corporate or contract role at a local law firm or in-house legal department
• Willingness to work in-person at our office in Sandy Springs, Georgia
• Active member of the State Bar of Georgia
• Exceptional problem-solving and client-communication skills
• Eagerness to learn from other attorneys and be a member of a growing team
