Job Title: IT Security Architect

Location: Atlanta, GA

Pay Range: $70/hr - $85/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a Global Security Engineering Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise security architecture across a global environment. This role will serve as a critical bridge between OT, IT, Engineering, and Security teams, ensuring alignment on security strategy, architecture standards, and operational execution.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cloud security, enterprise security architecture, and modern DevSecOps practices, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive secure design across complex environments. This individual will play a key role in aligning Security Engineering and Security Operations with broader business and technology objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design enterprise security solutions across cloud, network, endpoint, and application layers with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and cost-effectiveness
• Act as a strategic liaison between OT, IT, Engineering, and Security teams to ensure alignment on security architecture and priorities
• Lead the integration and optimization of security technologies across the environment
• Establish and drive adoption of security architecture standards, patterns, and best practices
• Partner with engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code processes
• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks, and provide recommendations to leadership
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure technical solutions
• Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and security teams
• Support incident response, security operations alignment, and continuous improvement initiatives

Technology Environment

• Cloud Platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Security Tools: CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Google SecOps (Chronicle)
• DevOps / CI-CD: GitLab, Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
• Additional Exposure: Cloud-native security, endpoint detection and response (EDR), SIEM/SOAR, and network security controls

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
• 7–10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on security architecture and engineering
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale security solutions in cloud and hybrid environments
• Experience working across OT and IT environments and aligning security strategies across both domains

Preferred Certifications

• CISSP or equivalent security certification

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in cloud security architecture, particularly within GCP
• Experience with enterprise security tools including CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, and SIEM/SOAR platforms such as Google SecOps
• Hands-on experience integrating security into DevOps pipelines using GitLab, Azure DevOps, and Terraform
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices
• Experience securing distributed systems across network, endpoint, and application layers

• Strong ability to influence and align cross-functional teams, including OT, IT, Engineering, and Security
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to drive consensus and lead architectural decision-making
