Key Responsibilities:
- Sand Blasting:
- Operate sand blasting equipment safely and effectively to clean and prepare metal parts.
- Maintain proper pressure and material flow for consistent surface finishes.
- Inspect parts for proper cleaning and ensure no damage during the process. - Press Brake Operation:
- Set up and operate press brakes to bend, form, and fabricate metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to determine required machine settings and tooling.
- Inspect parts for accuracy and adjust machines as needed. - Welding:
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and other metals.
- Prepare and fit components, ensuring proper alignment and quality welds.
- Inspect and finish welds to meet quality standards, including grinding and polishing. - Final Assembly:
- Assemble custom equipment using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.
- Verify that assembled equipment meets all specifications. - General Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist in cross-training and support other areas of production as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical school training a plus).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, metal fabrication, or related industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Strong measurement skills, including reading a tape measure to 1/32” accuracy and using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Experience operating press brakes, welding (TIG), and sand blasting equipment.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to cross-train and adapt to changing production needs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for precision tasks.
- Prior experience in custom equipment assembly and stainless-steel fabrication.
- Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) a plus.
- Forklift certification a plus.
This position is based in a manufacturing shop environment. Employees are required to follow all safety protocols, including wearing PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.
