Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. Start date 04/20/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,600–$1,674 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 2x3 days. Work setting: high-volume, Level 1 trauma ED with float pool coverage; may float to med/surg, step-down, or ICU as needed. This temporary assignment emphasizes ED care for boarder patients and requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Key Highlights

- Provide comprehensive assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing care for ED patients, including boarder cases.
- Administer medications, initiate IV access, perform ED-specific procedures, monitor patient status, and document accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans; communicate dispositions and timely handoffs.
- Manage patient flow and bed placement; coordinate with med/surg, step-down, and ICU units as needed; support safe transfers and transitions of care.
- Maintain compliance with certifications (BLS, ACLS, TNCC) and hospital policies; ensure accurate charting and patient safety throughout the shift. Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar-sized Level 1 trauma facility
- ED experience with ability to float to med/surg, step-down, or ICU as needed
- Degree from an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or higher)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment and participate in a travel assignment Benefits and Support
