Role Description:
The Front Desk Coordinator is a full-time, on-site position based in Stockbridge, GA. This role is responsible for greeting patients and visitors, checking patients in or out, and ensuring a welcoming and organized reception area. Daily responsibilities include answering and directing phone calls, managing appointment scheduling, verifying patient information, and collecting co-pays or required documentation. The Front Desk Coordinator will support providers and clinical staff with general administrative tasks, such as preparing charts, handling incoming mail or faxes, and maintaining accurate records. This role also involves coordinating with other team members to address patient inquiries, support efficient patient flow, and uphold a professional, patient-focused atmosphere.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year in a medical office experience w/Epic required
- Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Must have the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be detailed oriented
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Strong sense of discretion and professionalism

Skills Required:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide courteous, professional service to patients, families, and team members.
- Professional phone etiquette and experience managing multi-line phone systems or similar call volumes.
- Proficiency in appointment scheduling, including confirming, rescheduling, coordinating follow-up visits, and insurance benefits.
- Experience with receptionist duties and administrative assistance, such as check-in/check-out, filing, and data entry.
- Comfort using computers, electronic health records, and office software (e.g., email, scheduling systems, basic spreadsheets).
- Friendly, outgoing personality (absolutely essential)
- Handling Cash & Checks
- Must be able to discuss and request payments

- Ability to explain complex subjects
- Knowledge of Medical Insurance Processes including deductibles and out of pocket
- Reconcile patient accounts
- Excellent Time Management
- Epic experience is preferred

Experience Required:
- Preferred 1 year in a medical office
