Litigation Attorney

Increase your chances of reaching the interview stage by reading the complete job description and applying promptly.The law firm of GDCR is seeking a Litigation Attorney to represent firm public and private sector clients to handle an interesting and exciting mix of cases--school district litigation, tax assessor disputes, and private business disputes, e.g.).
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to provide accurate and timely advice to clients
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including appeals, hearings, and depositions
- Negotiate settlements
- Provide timely, accurate, and responsive legal advice to clients
- Be a team player
- Embrace the challenge of assisting public and private sector clients
- Desire to handle cases independently and go to court when advantageous
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; Georgia bar admission
- 2 to 10+ years litigation experience
- Experience with drafting and filing pleadings and motions, discovery, taking depositions
