Position Overview
The Semiconductor Business Development Manager (BDM) is a key growth market for Smart Infrastructure. The role is to serve as business leader/ connecter for all business segments, disciplines for the Electrical Products, and the Solutions/Service business. This position supports the entire Smart Infrastructure (SI) portfolio including building automation, fire alarm, security, electrical products, sustainability, and Digitalization. The Semiconductor BDM is responsible for the meeting or exceeding the business plans as agreed and committed by the Business Units. Your impact will be felt when you actively participate in and influence cross functional teams governing the Smart Infrastructure (SI) portfolio and go to market strategy for Industrial Automation and digitalization. Additionally, you must be capable of leading cross continuously changing teams to execute successful business plans and achieve targets. Relationship development with key organizations at Executive level and regional sales, and marketing organizations is needed to clearly understand customer needs and translate those needs into actionable requirements, lead a center of competence to support all sales channels. Active engagement, support of, and strategizing with regional/Business Unit leadership is critical to the success of this role.

Role Description
You’ll make an impact by:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Semiconductor solutions/service strategy within identified subsegments.
- Meet or exceed business plans as agreed upon by the Business Units and Regional Solutions and Services leaders.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute successful business plans and achieve targets.
- Build relationships with key organizations at the executive level to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
- Actively engage and strategize with regional and business unit leadership for success.
- Stay informed about the competitive environment, anticipate market trends, and develop business proposals for strategic initiatives.
- Articulate the value proposition of our Smart Infrastructure solutions to Semiconductor executives, specifying engineers, and general contractors.
- Drive digitalization and convergence of IT/OT to improve operational efficiency and industrial efficiencies.
- Collaborate with external agencies and internal colleagues to create impactful promotional materials.
- Provide solutions to complex business problems and interact with senior management levels.
- Be an effective leader in a matrix management environment and have the strong ability to influence. Leadership qualities and role model qualities demonstrated.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, MBA preferred.
- 8-12 years of experience / expertise in the Industrial industry with a track record of sales success
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (30%-50% of the time)
- Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
