**Join Siemens Energy's Electrical Engineering Division in Alpharetta, GA, where you'll play a key role in designing and delivering advanced power generation and transmission systems. In this role, you will develop and support Excitation Systems, Starting Frequency Converters, and Protection Systems - ensuring reliable and efficient power generation applications from concept through final delivery.**
**You'll collaborate with experts across disciplines, engage with customers directly, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced engineering environment driving the energy transition.**
**How You'llMake an Impact (responsibilities)**
+ **Lead projects from design initiation through final documentation, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.**
+ **Collaborate with internal teams and customers to develop optimized engineering solutions for power generation systems.**
+ **Provide technical support to customers on excitation and control equipment, including troubleshooting and system upgrades.**
+ **Contribute to the training and development of other specialist engineers.**
+ **Support ongoing product development efforts by participating in testing, validation, and process improvement initiatives.**
+ **Serve as a subject matter expert for the Hotline Support Team, resolving technical inquiries and providing guidance.**
+ **Travel to customer sites (up to 30%) for data collection, commissioning, and system validation.**
**What YouBring (requirements)**
+ **Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).**
+ **5+ years of electrical engineering experience within power generation, oil & gas, or industrial automation environments.**
+ **Strong knowledge of power electronics, power generation, transmission systems, and electrical machines.**
+ **Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results within deadlines.**
+ **Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.**
+ **Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a customer-focused mindset.**
