Johnson Service Group is searching for 2 3rd Shift Assemblers for our client in Thomasville, GA; the hours for these positions are 7:30pm-6am M-F. Additional details about the job include:

Role:

• Performs repetitive mechanical assembly involving sensitive or precise dexterous movements to maintain pace and quality of assembly work
• Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
• Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality
• Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence
• Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination
• May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products
• Follows clear assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, PVC thermal welding and thread taping
• Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures
• Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP), if applicable to site
• Completes required documentation related to production
• Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities
• Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings
• Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition
• Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Mechanical aptitude as evidenced by work experience, high school/tech school coursework, hobbies, etc.
• Must be able to:
  • Sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis
  • Walk, write, and type on a frequent basis
  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Climb and descend stairs
  • Bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis
  • Communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Work indoors and outdoors as needed
  • Work in a facility without central AC/heat
  • Work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required
  • Operate a computer and communicate via telephone

These are 3 month contract opportunities that have the potential to extend and to also convert to permanent employees of our client in the future. The selected candidates will be W2 employees of Johnson Service Group and will be able to elect Health, Vision, and Dental benefits if they choose. These positions pay $18/hour.
