Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent for a direct-hire opportunity supporting hotel renovation and commercial construction projects nationwide. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction leader who enjoys travel, takes pride in running organized job sites, and has experience managing renovation projects from start to finish.

The Traveling Construction Superintendent will oversee daily field operations, subcontractors, schedules, safety, quality, and communication with project stakeholders. This is a strong opportunity to join a growing construction organization with supportive leadership, room for advancement, and steady project activity across the U.S.

Candidates based in or near Atlanta, GA are encouraged to apply, but the role requires nationwide travel for extended project assignments.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily construction activities, subcontractors, site logistics, safety, and quality on hotel renovation and commercial construction projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction schedules to keep projects on track and aligned with specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans, and project specifications to guide field execution.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve field issues related to scheduling, quality, manpower, materials, and site conditions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company safety practices, and applicable construction regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Travel: Nationwide project travel required.
- Travel schedule: Typically 3 to 4 weeks at a time.
- Home time: Long weekend approximately every 3 to 4 weeks.
- Travel expenses are covered.
- No per diem.
- Health insurance.
- 1 week of PTO after 1 year.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage hotel renovation and commercial construction projects in the field from mobilization through completion.
- Lead subcontractors, coordinate schedules, and maintain productivity across active job sites.
- Oversee site safety, quality control, materials, manpower, and project specifications.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and field needs with internal teams and external stakeholders.

- 4+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.
- Commercial construction or renovation experience required.
- Hotel renovation experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety requirements.
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Must be willing and able to travel nationwide for 3 to 4 weeks at a time.

Preferred Qualifications

- OSHA 30 certification or other relevant safety certifications.
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
- Previous experience managing occupied hotel renovations or hospitality construction projects.
