Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all related processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or invoices.
• Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with company and carrier standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments using warehouse management systems.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.

Essential Skills

• Experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in using shipping software and inventory systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Ability to lift heavy items, often up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data entry.
• Experience with FedEx and UPS systems.

Work Environment

Work in a warehouse setting, utilizing technologies such as RF scanners and material handling equipment. Dress code is casual, suitable for a dynamic and hands-on work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
