Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all related processes.
Responsibilities- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with company and carrier standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments using warehouse management systems.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and inventory systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Ability to lift heavy items, often up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and data entry.
- Experience with FedEx and UPS systems.

Work EnvironmentWork in a warehouse setting, utilizing technologies such as RF scanners and material handling equipment. Dress code is casual, suitable for a dynamic and hands-on work environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
